Kiln repairs

KILN REPAIRS

Today I was mostly hanging upside down inside my kiln replacing elements, I can’t complain, I last replaced them some 16 years ago! Clive makes excellent elements at Roman Instruments and his delivery times are amazingly fast.

Some children from St Mabyn School visited my workshop to find out about my work. They interviewed me about my job for a forthcoming school magazine.

Fried agg, sausage and baked teapots

The sausages got a little over fired so they have lost their colour a bit…next time I’ll have to under cook them!

Featured on The Alan Titchmarsh show November 4th 2011 with Teapot Island Museum owner Sue Blazye.
Prototype cherub teapot
I discarded the base of this teapot in a skip in Devon as I was unhappy with it, but I kept the lid. Many years later Sue approached me having bought the base at a car boot sale (people obviously riffled through my rubbish in those days!) I presented her with the lid. I still think it’s an awful teapot, luckily there is only one in existence!
